Legal
This policy explains what FairFound stores, what becomes public, and how account, launch, feedback, and moderation data are used to run the platform.
Last updated March 27, 2026.
We collect the information you provide directly, including your name, email address, username, profile image, bio, submitted products, screenshots, comments, votes, structured feedback, and support or moderation messages.
We also collect operational data needed to run the product, such as login sessions, security signals, rate-limit data, upload metadata, and event logs related to launches, voting, and moderation.
We use your information to create and secure accounts, display public profiles and product pages, power ranking and feedback features, prevent abuse, and operate the maker workflow from draft submission through launch day.
Operational and moderation data may also be used to investigate suspicious activity, review flags, discard fraudulent votes, and restore accurate platform state after failures.
Public launches may show your product details, maker identity, public comments, and selected engagement counts. Public profiles can also show your launched products and visible voting activity.
Structured feedback is not public. It is restricted to the product maker and platform admins. Draft submissions and maker editing flows are private.
FairFound may use third-party providers for authentication, database hosting, object storage, email delivery, caching, rate limiting, and background job execution. Those providers process data only as needed to support the service.
Examples may include infrastructure for images, email verification, password reset, launch scheduling, and anti-abuse controls.
We keep data for as long as it is needed to operate the platform, maintain account history, preserve moderation context, or meet legal and operational requirements.
We take reasonable steps to protect user data, but no system is perfectly secure. You should also protect your own credentials and devices.
You can update profile information, launch details, and certain account settings from inside the app. If you stop using FairFound, some public or moderation records may remain for platform integrity and audit history.
If you need help with privacy questions or account data, contact the FairFound team through the support channel referenced in product emails or launch communications.
